My objective is to copy all the recent changed data from the Buffalo to the Synology NAS and cut it over for the users to start using it, so I was planning on syncing it this coming weekend and then have everyone start using it on Monday morning.

I tried using FreeFilesync but doing the comparison to copy the sync the data but it looks like it's going to take a very long time for that many files and size of it. The data is over 14TBand we are moving to a NAS that has twice the space on it and expandable, that's why we got a new unit. My problem is that the Buffalo has about 4-5 million small files stored on it, so it took a very long time to copy everything over. I already uploaded a majority of the files to the Synology already but through the copy, I had to do it during the business week, so some files either got changed, removed, or added to the original Buffalo NAS while this copying was done. I was wondering what you guys recommend in terms of File Syncing software? I have an old Buffalo NAS that I want to sync to my new Synology.
